Description: Edible mushroom. Mushroom of the Cantharellaceae family. The fruit body is cone-shaped with folded edges. When dried, the mushroom contains as much as 30% protein. The walls of the mushroom cells are made from non-digestible chitin which, on the other hand, improves digestion through bowel movement stimulation. Its common names in Czech include trubky; in Slovakia they are called lieviky.

Use: It is an edible mushroom with a wide range of use. Its taste is mild, sometimes “gripping”; it has a pleasant, spicy smell, sometimes a bit earthy. When ground, this mushroom can be used in spice mixes. It is suitable for soups and in meat dishes. Recommendation: Before use, soak in water for 1 hour.
